As an earth scientist by profession, I grew passionate about nature and photography many years ago. Following a long period of extensive business travel abroad, I returned to my home country Switzerland and presently live in the Zurich area. I love the outdoors, hiking, exploring the broadness of landscapes, coasts, mountains, as well as being intrigued by the small-scale structures of wood, rocks and plants. Photography has always been a passion. Taking photos out in nature is equally as fun for me as processing them back home in front of a computer screen. More recently I have ventured into black and white photography, more abstract photographic themes and taking photos in urban areas. Additionally, since 2021 I have been participating in international photo competitions.
